CyberGrants Security and Data Protection Overview
CyberGrants takes the security of its clients' private information very seriously. When accessing secured areas of the CyberGrants website, communications are automatically protected through server authentication and data encryption using the industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol. This provides encryption to guard against eavesdropping, data integrity to ensure information is not tampered with, and authentication to verify the identity of the receiving party. We, also, support
- CyberGrants advises clients, also, to take precautions, such as effective password management - not sharing passwords, changing them regularly, and using complex combinations of letters, numbers, and characters. Security alerts when entering or exiting secure areas are normal and indicate the use of SSL encryption.
- In addition, CyberGrants has updated its internal policies to ensure compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This includes providing clients' users access to information about what personal data is collected and how it is processed, formalizing data deletion and portability policies, and implementing data anonymization and encryption. CyberGrants has also appointed a Data Protection Officer to oversee data processing and compliance.
- CyberGrants, also, provides an SFTP connection for data transfers (such as HR files and Payroll feeds) that is configured to require specific parameters, including SSH version, server host key algorithms, key exchange algorithms, encryption algorithms (ciphers), and MAC algorithms, enabling administrators to establish secure access to the CyberGrants SFTP server.
CyberGrants is committed to protecting its clients' data, regularly reviews it, and evolves its security processes and procedures to meet or exceed applicable regulations. The company is a member of the EU-US and Swiss-US Privacy Shield Frameworks and does not use or redistribute client data for marketing purposes or subject it to automated decision-making.
