Configure an Invitation Code

Invitation codes are a 10-character system generated code  used to invite organizations to submit a grant proposal. If necessary, the code can be replaced with another 10-character sequence (e.g., BONTERRA22).

1. Under the Admin tab, Application Configuration subtab, click the Invitations hyperlink.
2. Click the New button. A New Invitation form is displayed.
3. In the Invitation Code field, a 10-character code is automatically populated. Edit the code, if needed.
4. In the Invitation Name field, enter the name of the organization.
5. In the Proposal Type field, select the Proposal type(s) that will be available via the invitation code. Invitation codes must be linked to a proposal type in order to function properly.
6. In the Valid From, enter a start date for the code's validation period.
7. In the Valid Until, enter an end date for the code's validation period.
8. Select the Active checkbox to make the invitation code valid.
9. Select the Bypass Eligibility Requirements to allow applicants outside of the normal eligibility areas to apply for the selected proposal types, including bypassing geographic regions and nonprofit status filters.
10. Click the Save button.
11. Navigate to the proposal type(s) associated with the invitation code.
12. Under the Organization Setup tab, click the Display Settings hyperlink.
13. In the Program Availability section, deselect the Allow Unsolicited Requests to allow applicants to apply with an invitation code. If this setting is active, invitation codes will not work with the proposal type(s).
14. In the Program Security section, view the Active Invitation Codes field. 
15. Select the Invitation Code(s) applicable to the proposal type.
16. Click the Save button. The invitation code is active and associated with the proposal type.
