Duplicate Organization Detection

Criteria for CyberGrants to determine if an organization is a duplicate:

• Names have to match, barring punctuation and words like “INC”
• Strips out the following characters:

• City must match, or be blank on one side
•  State must match, or be blank on one side
• Country must match, or be blank on one side

"Duplicate" detection used for Apply Online registration

For US, IRS-based organizations, the registration duplication logic:

• state match, or state is unspecified on one side
• country match, or country is unspecified on one side
• the registration name provided by the grantseeker "matches" (case insensitive, removed prepositions and common abbreviations) one of the following
  • legal name
  • AKA name
  • in care of
  • IRS name
• tax ID matches, or is unspecified on one side
