The fields created for Life Sciences customers to utilize in Bonterra’s CyberGrants are a set of standard data fields built into the platform specifically for healthcare and pharmaceutical organizations that manage medical affairs programs. These fields enable medical affairs teams to capture and track critical information about drug-related requests, disease areas, and patient demographics without needing to create custom fields or repurpose existing ones.
Medical affairs programs involve managing medical education, research funding, speaker bureaus, and managed access programs. The standard fields streamline data collection and reporting for these specialized programs while maintaining consistency across your organization's CyberGrants instance.

The Life Sciences Medical Affairs fields are designed to capture the essential information your medical affairs programs require.
All fields can be configured as either single-select or multi-select, depending on your program needs. You can define a list of values for each field, make values orderable to prioritize common selections, apply conditional logic, and control which proposal types use each field.

Using these fields in CyberGrants.
In configuration
You can enable and configure each field under Data Fields on the Admin tab, then apply fields to specific proposal types, define the list of values for each field based on the drugs, diseases, therapeutic areas, and other data your teams track. By default, the fields are inactive. You must activate and configure them to use them in your requests.
In searching and filtering
Once configured, the fields appear on the request listing view and the request details page. They are available in the traditional main tab for searching and filtering when you select the "add filter" option.
In reporting and analysis
The fields integrate with CyberGrants Ad hoc reports, Insights reports, and merge functionality, allowing you to build medical affairs-specific dashboards and reports.
In automation
You can use the fields with workflow status, routing, approval, approval types, and dynamic user criteria to automate request management based on drug, disease, therapeutic area, and patient information.
