Details

Every March 1st, donors who made credit card donations to U.S., Canadian, or non-U.S./non-Canada International organizations - and - donors who gave through payroll donations to U.S. organizations, disbursed through CyberGrants Disbursement Solutions (CGDS) to one of our Donor Advised Funds (DAFs), will receive an Annual Personal Donation Summary receipt in the form of a PDF that can be used as a tax receipt. Documents for the latest and any prior giving years can be accessed by accessing a donor's donation summary (see Figure 1.)

  • NOTE: In Canada, donations made through employee payroll deductions are included on an employee's T4 tax form provided by their employer. As a result, Canadian payroll donations disbursed through CGDS are not separately included on CGDS-generated tax receipts to avoid duplicative effort and potentially confusing program users.

CGDS donation summary receipts will also automatically be emailed to each donor at the work and personal email address on file (see Figure 2.) Clients looking to opt out of the automated email delivery of Annual Personal Donation Summary receipts should notify their CyberGrants client management team in writing by February 15th of each year.

Note:

  • Donors making credit card donations to the Canadian DAF will receive their receipts and emails in English and French.
  • Donors making credit card donations to non-U.S./non-Canada organizations will receive a U.S. tax receipt in English. For more information, visit What are the CAF America CGDS Credit Card Donation Tax Receipts?

Donations can also be made through the CyberGrants Special Payments Vehicle (SPV,) an alternative to disburse activity that is ineligible for DAF. Donations made through the SPV are included in the Annual Personal Donation Summary PDF. However, SPV donations are not typically tax deductible.

Note: Client Program Administrators can still access receipts for donors no longer affiliated with the company on the CyberGrants Admin tab.
