There are a few options available for controlling the way that emails are sent from CyberGrants to provide the level of desired branding of client programs.
Spam is a major issue IT departments face in large corporations. The war between spammers and IT departments is an ever-escalating and evolving battle. Given this environment, company spam filtering techniques and capabilities vary greatly from one company to the next. Email that is accepted by one mail server will not necessarily be accepted by the next. It is strongly recommended all email comes from a @cybergrants.com address.
All outbound email event senders (email_event_link.sender) are set to a "donotreply" address - e.g. "donotreply@communityaffairs.company.com" if a client doesn't elect to allow sending and receiving mail. Note: Certain CyberGrants emails are NOT configurable. This includes CyberGrants password emails and Grantseeker email activation emails.
When sending email event emails, CyberGrants will use the following:
- Email Event Link (email_event_link.sender & email_event_link.reply_to) (no UI configuration currently)
- If no Reply To is specified, will use the Sender email address
- If not email event link value, then one of the following depending on the type of email:
- The default CyberGrants sender email (cgadmin@cybergrants.com)
- The address within the user's profile
- Support email address
