What is the Super PDF Extension?

The Super PDF Extension is a standardized feature in Bonterra’s CyberGrants that enables program administrators to generate consolidated PDF documents containing request and organization data, including file attachments.  

This extension is ideal for customers who need to maintain comprehensive documentation of grant requests or organizational profiles for auditing, internal review, or archiving purposes. 

Core Functionality 

Once configured, the Super PDF Extension adds a "GENERATE PDF ALL" button or similarly labeled field to an internal section of a request record. When selected, this button compiles a PDF document that includes: 

• All standard and custom fields from the request record.
• File attachments are uploaded to the request record.
• Optional inclusion of:
  • Organization data
  • Payments
  • Approvals
  • Impact reports
  • Contacts
  • File attachments from the organization record 

Depending on the types of attachments involved, the extension will output one of the following: 

• Single PDF document with attachments stitched in - Used when all attachments are in PDF format.
• Compressed zip file - Includes the main PDF and each individual file as separate attachments when one or more attachments are not in PDF format. 

In both cases, the download is triggered in real time and can be repeated as needed to reflect the most current data. 

Workflow Example 

1. A program administrator navigates to a request record.
2. They select the internal “GENERATE PDF ALL” button.
3. CyberGrants compiles all configured data and attachments.
4. A PDF or zip file is generated for download. 

Technical Specifications 

• No attachments or PDFs are stored in CyberGrants after generation.
• The feature relies on a custom procedure that defines logic and criteria for included data.
• Proposal type and request view conditional logic are not applied during generation.
• The extension supports repeatable use; files can be regenerated on demand. 

This functionality supports consistency and enables scalable documentation management within CyberGrants.
