Configure Login Rules

CyberGrants Internal User, Employee and Grantseeker

1. Configure CyberGrants User Login Rules:

1. Default Login Rules:
• The password must be between 6 and 32 characters long
• The password must consist of letters, numbers or any of the following special characters: '!#$-_'
• The password never expires

1. Are These Rules Active?
1. Unchecked, will use default rules.
2. Checked, will use custom rules.
2. Minimum Length of Password: Required, Must be between 6 and 32 characters
3. Maximum Length of Password: Required, Must be between 6 and 32 characters
4. Days Until Password Expires: Enter number of days. Leave blank or enter '0' if password is never to expire - Currently for Employee and Internal User only.
   
5. Password Format: Displays radio button to select Password Description Shown to User
6. Can Password be Reused?
1. Uncheck, no password cannot be reused
2. Checked, password can be reused
7. Days Before Reuse Allowed: Enter days before reuse. Required if password can be reused
8. Maximum Failed Login Attempts Allowed: See below
   
9. Failure Message Displayed After Maximum Attempts: Message displayed to user after maximum attempt. Required if Maximum Failed Login Attempts Allowed is > 0
10. Login Rules Last Changed On: Displays when login rules were last changed
11. Login Rules Last Changed By: Displays who login rules were last changed by

Standardized Lockout for Users, Grantseekers and Donors

Once a grantseeker or user exceeds 5 unsuccessful attempts, the user will receive an error message indicating that their account is locked and instructing them to follow a reset workflow.

• To ensure best practices, the configurable Login Rules have been updated to default the Maximum Failed Login Attempts Allowed to no more than 5 attempts. 

IP Restriction

CyberGrants Internal User

1. CyberGrants Internal User IP Restriction: Designate specific IP addresses to ensure that users can only access CyberGrants from authorized computers. Displays current IP Address.
2. Invalid IP Text: This message will display to users attempting to log in from an unauthorized IP address.
3. Allowable IP: Area to enter allowable IP Addresses

Employee

1. Employee IP Restriction: Designate specific IP addresses to ensure that users can only access CyberGrants from authorized computers. Displays current IP Address.
2. Invalid IP Text: This message will display to users attempting to log in from an unauthorized IP address.
3. Allowable IP: Area to enter allowable IP Addresses
