- Customizable layout options - Choose vertical or horizontal display to best fit your portal’s layout and design preferences.
- Track by hours or dollars - Select whether the leaderboard should calculate total volunteer hours or monetary donations.
- Individual or team view - Display rankings by individual donors or group contributors [based on Human Resources (HR) feed team categorization].
- Live rankings with donor context - Donors can see their current rank alongside adjacent peers, including avatars and total contributions.
- Goal tracking for teams - Team leaderboards show progress as a percentage toward the annual team goal, set through the admin portal.
- Dynamic visibility - Leaderboards appear only when qualifying data exists—current fiscal year for teams and up to three years for individuals.
Constraints and considerations:
- Annual update limit - Only one change to the leaderboard extension is allowed per calendar year, and it must remain within the purchased scope.
- Fiscal year dependency - Team leaderboards always reflect the current fiscal year. Individual leaderboards can be configured for a custom date range within the last three years.
- User acceptance testing (UAT) - Final approval through UAT is required before the feature can be moved to the production environment.
- Cost implications for changes - Post-implementation changes or deviation from Bonterra’s standard methodology may result in added costs and timeline adjustments.
- Data accuracy requirements - The leaderboard depends on accurate and timely HR feeds and proposal data to ensure valid rankings.
- One leaderboard limit - Only one type of leaderboard (team or individual) can be configured. If both are desired, discuss custom options with your Bonterra project manager, as this would fall outside of the standard extension scope.
