Geographic Areas Served Standard Field overview
The Geographic Areas Served standard field allows organizations to collect structured information about the geographic locations that benefit from a grant-funded project. Grantseekers can enter one or more locations—along with an associated amount—within a grant request, making it easier to understand how funding is distributed across regions.
This field supports consistent, standardized data entry by using predefined address components such as City, State, Zip Code, Country, and optional international currency information. Administrators choose which fields appear and whether they must be completed. After submission, reviewers can edit, add, or delete entries as needed, ensuring final records reflect accurate allocations.
Each location added in the field is stored as an individual entry, allowing administrators to analyze, group, or visualize benefiting locations. These entries can be joined with other grant, organization, or request data to support a deeper understanding of your program’s geographic reach.
The Geographic Areas Served field is currently available for both Grant Requests and Impact Reports.
