Understanding the Physician Registration Form

The Physician Registration Form in Bonterra CyberGrants allows program administrators to configure programs that require applicants to register as individual physicians rather than as organizations. This form supports Medical Affairs programs such as expanded access and compassionate care. In these programs, physicians apply on behalf of patients to request access to products or support outside of standard clinical settings. 

This functionality is configured per proposal type, enabling administrators to specify whether a program should require a physician registration or an organization registration. It replaces the need for customized registration forms and provides a standardized option for programs involving physician applicants. It ensures that physician applicants are presented with the appropriate registration flow during the registration process. 

Key characteristics: 

• Configurable by proposal type to define physician vs. organization registration.
• Serves as a replacement for existing customized physician or individual registration forms; however, migration is optional
• Feature-flagged for customers with Medical Affairs programs and automatically enabled. If you have a Medical Affairs program and discover this feature has not yet been turned on for you, please reach out to Support. We can easily enable it for your instance.
• Fully compatible with existing reporting and administrative functions.
• Managed through a front-end configuration setting on the proposal type record. 

Limitations and transition notes: 

• The form is specific to physician registration and is not a general individual registration form.
• The feature does not allow both organization and individual registrations on the same proposal type.
• Customers currently using customized individual registration forms are not required to migrate immediately; transition can occur as needed.
