Reports Portlet Configuration Overview

Reports portlets let administrators design how reporting tools and data appear on portal pages in Bonterra CyberGrants. With portlets, you can control layout, select which reporting components are visible, and target visibility to specific audiences. All configuration happens in Sandbox, and you must publish to production for changes to appear on the Reports tab.

Only internal users with access to the CyberGrants Sandbox environment and administrative permissions can configure report portal pages.

Key features:

  • You can create new portal pages or edit existing ones, including page name, shortcut, active/default status, navigation visibility, and who can see the page.
  • Pages support introduction/footer text, multiple columns (“containers”), custom widths, and ordered portlets. Avoid a total of 100% width; use 99% to reduce browser issues.
  • You can add, move, stack, and remove report portlets; you can also clone a portlet to reuse its settings.
  • Deletion is restricted: only duplicate cloned portlets can be deleted.
  • Portlet parameters can restrict visibility by Security Level, User Group ID, User Role ID, or User Type ID. Publishing from the portal page in Sandbox is required.
