Snowflake is the data warehouse provider for CyberGrants and hosts all data being fed into Insights. Snowflake Data Sharing is an offering that allows CyberGrants customers who also have a Snowflake instance to receive their data directly from our Snowflake instance to their Snowflake instance.
Proceed as follows to understand the process and requirements for Insights Snowflake Data Sharing.
Step 1: Verify Eligibility
Confirm that your organization meets the eligibility requirements for Snowflake Data Sharing.
- You must be subscribed to Insights.
- You must have a Snowflake account.
NOTE: CyberGrants' Insights Snowflake resides in AWS East-1 (us-east-1).
Step 2: Determine Cloud Provider Compatibility
To ensure compatibility and supportability, CyberGrants supports Snowflake deployments hosted on AWS. Snowflake instances running on non-AWS cloud providers are not currently supported at this time.
Step 3: Understand Shared Database and Secure Views
The CyberGrants team will provision the necessary database, schema, and secure views to be shared.
- The required database and schema structures will be created within your Snowflake instance.
- Secure views will be created to ensure appropriate data access and permissions.
Step 4: Access Shared Data
The shared data will be available in your Snowflake instance, allowing you to leverage the data for your business needs.
