Through the Target Menu, Insights Users have the ability to customize the appearance and behavior of the Radial Gauge visualization within an Explore by modifying the target settings, such as the source of the target value, label formatting, and visual styling. To update the view of the Insights Radial Gauge using the Target menu options, proceed as follows.
Step 1: Access a report through an Insights Explore
Log in to the CyberGrants platform and navigate to the Insights tab.
In the left-hand menu, select the "Analyze" option to view and choose from the available Explores.
Create a new report by either building it from scratch by adding relevant fields or if any prebuilt Quick Start reports are available, select one of those as a starting point
Step 2: View the Radial Gauge Visualization Target Menu
Use the ellipsis in the Visualization toolbar to access the Radial Gauge Visualization type.
Click Edit in the right corner of the Visualization toolbar to access the Radial Gauge Visualization Target Menu options.
Step 3: Set the Target Source
Determine whether the "Target" (or Goal) value should be derived from another measure field or manually entered as an override amount. The available options include:
Step 4: Customize the Target Label Type
Update the visual representation of the target label within the graph using the following Target Label Types:
- Value and Label
- Only Value
- Only Label
- Value and Dimension
- Only Dimension
- No Label
Step 5: Adjust the Target Label Font Size
Update the font size of the target label to suit your preferences.
Step 6: Override the Target Value and Target Label
- Target Value Override - Manually input a target/goal amount to be visually represented on the gauge. The Target Source must be set as "Override."
- Target Label Override - Manually input a label for the target/goal amount represented in the gauge.
Step 7: Format the Target Value
Update the Target Value Formatting field by manually inputting a desired value to display as the target/goal represented in the gauge.
Step 8: Update the Target Label Padding
Modify the placement of the Target Label by changing the Target Label Padding.
Step 9: Change the Target Length, Dash Gap, and Thickness
Adjust these settings to modify the visual appearance of the target on the radial gauge.
