CyberGrants provides automated system-level email events based on actions taken within the system. These email notifications are sent to a specific order of recipients, which is determined by the platform's logic.

The list below is the order in which email addresses are "chosen" by the system to send an email:

1: Nonprofit Editor (generally the Grantseeker):

  • The first email recipient is the Nonprofit Editor, who is typically the Grantseeker.

2: Request Creator (if different from the Nonprofit Editor):

  • If the Request Creator is different from the Nonprofit Editor, the system will send the email to the Request Creator as the second recipient.

3: Any other Grantseeker in the Organization Record:

  • After the Nonprofit Editor and Request Creator (if applicable), the system will send the email to any other Grantseeker associated with the organization record.

4: Main Organization Email Address:

  • If there are no other Grantseeker email addresses available, the system will send the email to the main organization's email address.

It's important to note that for gift confirmation emails, the email is sent to the contact email address that is assigned the Contact Type associated with the specific proposal type. If there is no existing organization contact, the email is triggered to the main organization's email address.

This order of email recipient selection ensures that the relevant stakeholders within the organization receive the necessary notifications and updates generated by the CyberGrants system.
