Understanding FrontDoor
FrontDoor provides nonprofit organizations with a consolidated way to access payment reports, confirm gifts and hours, and engage with funders. Profile management, registration, login credentials, and banking details are now handled through the Bonterra Nonprofit Hub.
- Thousands of US-based nonprofits use the platform to streamline gift management, offer their funders a new level of accuracy and consistency, and reduce delays caused by inaccurate organization data.
Key Features
Nonprofits now log in and register through the Bonterra Nonprofit Hub. Once logged in, they can access FrontDoor through an internal single sign-on (SSO) link. FrontDoor access provides nonprofits with the ability to manage client relationships, confirm pending gifts, and view their payment history. This means they can view all of their organization's records in one place without the need for multiple logins for individual client relationships. Nonprofit account owners can use the Donations console within FrontDoor to confirm gifts from donors or completed hours and receive funding faster. Nonprofit account owners can also use the Payments console within FrontDoor to view payment history and search for specific payments received by their organization within the last year. By consolidating these features, FrontDoor allows administrators to provide funding to nonprofits more efficiently and accelerate their programs' impact on communities.
- Bonterra reviews and validates Nonprofit Hub applications for organization claims to reduce security risks and ensure that bad actors cannot access organization financial or profile information. This helps ensure that only authorized individuals affiliated with the organization have access to any sensitive organization or financial details.
Updating basic organization details, alternate organization names, mission statements, contact details, supported causes, payment preferences, and banking information no longer happens in FrontDoor. These functions are now managed in the Bonterra Nonprofit Hub. FrontDoor is now used exclusively for confirming gifts, accessing company portals, and viewing payment history.
Note: If you don't have the Nonprofit Hub enabled yet, don't miss out! Clients enabling Nonprofit Hub access to use FrontDoor will provide donors with an enhanced experience when discovering new organizations and events to support!
