Understanding Organization Management

Program administrators can manage various aspects of organizations through the CyberGrants platform's organization module. NOTE: Configuration changes must be performed in Sandbox, while manipulation of real data should be performed in Production.

The areas in this module provide tools for managing organizations, such as updating organization profiles, combining organizations, mapping tax and NCES IDs, and managing organization relationships and categories.

Learn more about the following key features:

• Organization Profiles - Organization Profiles allow non-profit organizations to log in to a shell proposal type and update their profile information in real-time, typically including address and payment details.
• Combine Two Organizations - The Combine Two Organizations feature allows merging two organizations by Organization ID, where one organization is deleted, and the other is kept. This process involves comparing the organizations and transferring necessary information, ensuring matching tax ID information.
• Combine Organizations in Bulk - The Combine Organizations in Bulk feature enables merging multiple organizations based on certain criteria. This process can take 24-48 hours to complete, and once done, the user can finish the project. There is a protected flag to ensure certain instances of an organization are not deleted.
• Tax ID Mapping & NCES ID Mapping - The Tax ID Mapping and NCES ID Mapping features allow searching for and mapping an organization to a matching IRS or NCES record, respectively, though these features are not widely utilized.
• Manage Organization Relationships - The Manage Organization Relationships feature allows creating and managing parent-child organization relationships.
• Organization Category - The Organization Category feature allows creating and managing available categories for organizations.
